Regarding Services and The COVID-19
We would like to update you on my practice policies, given COVID-19 and to invite you to continue having therapy sessions virtually if necessary.
First and foremost I wish you and your family health. Please make sure you are following the CDC precaution guidelines here: https://www.cdc.gov/
If you or your family members are experiencing flu like symptoms (fever, coughing, runny nose, etc) or if I am experiencing those symptoms, then your in-office appointment will be cancelled and moved to a telehealth session. If you in general feel more comfortable having a telehealth session during this time, then we will change it to a telehealth session without worry or concern.
Your medical insurance allows for telehealth therapy sessions! This is a great option for everyone. It will allow us to continue having therapy sessions, and work on goals, when it’s harder to get into the office for you or even for me. There is no change in fees to participate in telehealth sessions. To participate in telehealth sessions, please make sure you download the App in either the play store or IOS store. The app is free. It is called Telehealth by Simple Practice. You should be able to use your current Client Portal login. Please let me know if you need to reset your password.

Due to school closures and possible quarantines, my schedule has changed, allowing me to open appointment slots during the daytime. If you choose to move your appointment time to a daytime slot or if we have telehealth sessions, you will not lose your regular afternoon/evening slot, and can go back it once the we all go back to our regular routine.
There is a lot of information in this email. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Creative Writers Workshop
Creative Writers Workshop
Dear friends,
I hope you and yours are hangin' in there during this intense and challenging moment in our history. Sending a big virtual hug across the miles. One of the silver linings of this crisis for me has been a return to my creative work. I would like to share this opportunity to find/re-discover a creative outlet with others, perhaps you, if you're interested.
Starting this month, I will offer a 3-week creative writing workshop online. All levels of writer are welcomed. There is room in this (donation-based) workshop for up to 10 writers. If you are unable to make a donation at this time, that is ok. The workshop will use basic practices of the fun and encouraging Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) Method (in which I am trained).
From the Amherst Writers and Artists website: "AWA is an international community of writing workshop leaders committed to the belief that a writer is someone who writes & every writer has a unique voice. AWA workshops follow a proven method that affirms writers by building confidence, creating an atmosphere of equal exploration, and protecting confidentiality."
If you would like to be one of the ten writers, please fill in your availability HERE at your earliest convenience (first come, first-served). I will be in touch by midweek with an update on days/times that work for most. Be well and take care of yourself and each other!
And...please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think might be interested.
